How did information sources change over time?
Nowadays, it is very easy to find information about all sorts of things in the Internet. One is hardly ever obligated to read a hardback book. Even in the case that one is obligated one can mostly still use the online version of the book.
Many people used to read the Newspaper, seeing it was a primary information source for all people to know what was going on in the world.
This promoted propaganda, because the state could control exactly what information the people had access to and they could specifically leave information out.
Today there are very diverse sources of information which one can choose from, but oftentimes the information given is not written by experts, but much rather by people interested in a particular topic.
Essentially, this means that one should not only be grateful for the variety of information one can choose from, but one should always check on the origin of the media. If one cannot find the author of the website one should consider looking at other websites and comparing information to be sure it is valid.
One should always be aware there is a lot of gossip in the media, which can go viral easily.
