WHat is the definition of media?

Before I can write 15 entries about the media I will start of by defining the media, in my first blog so I know which topics I can look at and what my blog is actually about.

"Communication channels through which news, entertainment, education, data, or promotional messages are disseminated. Media includes every broadcasting and narrowcasting medium such as newspapers, magazines, TV, radio, billboards, direct mail, telephone, fax, and internet. Media is the plural of medium and can take a plural or singular verb, depending on the sense intended"

So the media is a very large field of many topics I will write about.

News media, mass media focused on communicating news

New media, media that can only be created or used with the aid of modern computer processing power
Recording media, devices used to store information
Social media, media disseminated through social interaction"

Having watched that video clip, I understand that media is a lot about perception of people, and facts (content). Being spread through the computers (internet) content can be spread all over the world. As the content can lead to other content it is no longer "content" but social media. The duplicated media is used for so many different uses.
