Because Me and my friend Katie are making a music video for our end of year project, I decided to dedicate my last blog entry for this year to research on making an amatuer music video. 

 

What I found out?

 

It is important to take time to take the filming and nit to try and rush it (get it all done at once). 

 

It is important to make good decisions concerning light, as simple differences in filming can make huge impacts on the final project. 

(Making sure that if unwanted the actors can be identified and not merely 

 

Drawing the screens (storyboard)  is very important, not the detail, but the general idea so that one can always referance back and know what comes next. 

 

We have to listen to the song over, and over, and over again until we know exactly how it goes and what would fit to it. 

 

We have to make sure that we use a variety of fitting locations. 

 

Setting the tripod well, having the right shot (steady and the right zoom). 

 

Have enough takes (footage) that if something goes wrong we always have backup. 

 

Finally cutting the music to the video and not letting the editing make it look amateur.
