COLOUR AND ITS AFFECT ON THE MEDIA.

Seen as all the different colours have a different value to us, it is very easy to create a mood by merely changing the original colours, or making them more intense.
Colour seems to play a huge value in marketing to this day. "Colour is a form of non-verbal communication and an important part of our daily lives."
Meaning that a certain message is conveyed to the audience when seeing a certain poster, or advertisement, which evokes an emotional response.
Every individual has personal colour preferences, and mostly 1 favourite colour, but on the whole we all perceive colour in a way which can manipulate as well as benefit us.
Studies have shown that color:
- Increases brand recognition by up to 80%
- Improves readership as much as 40%
- Increases comprehension by 73%
- Can be up to 85% of the reason people decide to buy
Although, I am personally interested in marketing it took me by surprize exactly how big of a difference colour makes, not only in marketing but also in our daily lives.
